Complex Regional Pain

What is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome?

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a condition that occurs when the nervous system misfires and sends signals to the brain. These signals get interpreted as pain signals, causing you to feel pain in various areas of the body. The exact cause of this condition is unclear, but it is believed that CRPS develops due to a dysfunction in the nervous system that is triggered by injury or surgery.

CRPS commonly affects the arms or legs, but it can occur anywhere in the body. Complex regional pain syndrome is a chronic condition that can be incredibly frustrating to manage. However, with pain management services at Alimran Medical Center, patients can achieve relief and enjoy an improved quality of life.
